Mary Marino, Associate

WMFDP Associate: Mary MarinoMary Marino, Ph.D. is a business change consultant and executive life coach who has worked with executives from Fortune 500 companies in leadership positions for more than 15 years. Her work with issues of diversity and the empowerment of women began with her doctoral dissertation, where she explored the impact of gender stereotypes and the limitation they have on the expectations of women's success and accomplishment. She was also involved in groundbreaking research on women and leadership in higher education. During the 1980's she was on faculty at State University of New York at Albany, where she taught psychology, program design, evaluation and research methodology.

Since that time Mary has had an active Life Coach practice in New York City where she draws upon the work of energy psychology, mythology, and Shamanism to open new pathways for bringing heart and a deeper sense of purpose into people's lives and for bringing that passion and true calling into their place of work.

Personal/Professional Philosophy: Mary believes that being fully present and having conscious awareness of "what is" are the keys to accessing one's true potential and living life to the fullest. It is crucial to connect to what most deeply matters to us and to take courageous action to live in accordance with one's higher values. She also believes that a life rich with meaning and purpose is the result of forming partnerships that inspire and challenge us to step up and stand out and take leadership positions to promote those values in our communities and work environments.
